Dickipedia : Dictionary of rotten personalities.
Saturday, January 23, 2010

I recently came across this interesting site while goin through some articles of the president of Zimbabwe, who is also a dick. Countless links appeared in google, leading to many negative comments and critical reviews about that man (the word gentleman is too undeserving for him). After reading some articles about him to appease my curiosity that resulted from a forwarded email from a friend, I bumped into this site.

I know it's not new anymore but I was never really bothered about this site until now. After reading one or two posts about some of the biggest personalities in the world, I just had to blog about this to create awareness to the people that I know. I sincerely love everything about it. The short but useful details, the sense of humour that can be derived from the paragraphs and the few people that you'd never thought would end up in that site.

Heck, even China (yes, the country) is in the long and growing list of 'dicks'. Santa Claus and the pope aren't spared as well. Dictionary has never been so hilarious and cruel at the same time. If dickipedia were to choose one, just ONE 'dickish' personality from Malaysia, I would no doubt strongly suggest advocate our ex-prime minister. No, the one who had been stinking in office for more than 20 years, not the flip flop sleepy one. If I were to pick even more names for Dickipedia, they would have to start a new category just for Malaysia alone. Yes, we do have THAT many stinking people who are either running this country or tried running down this country. Either way, I think these morons would make interesting read if added into Dickipedia. Reading about them in that site would prove to be more worthwhile and generate more credibility than the history books in the schools here. Reason being that the books can be altered by the same suggested idiots at their whims.

On an unrelated matter, I have finally discard the old layout of this blog and gave it a new look. Due to the closure of Geocities, where I upload a lot of my little stuffs (stamps, short tunes and templates components), I had to get another type of design that doesn't have many components to upload, simple, easy on the eye and not too childish. Glad that I didn't have to take long to bump into this one. Haven't really fixed everything on its appearance yet. Workload is getting more and getting on my nerves. Thankfully there's Dickipedia to amuse myself and unwind.

Last I've been here to update was in February?? Surprisingly fast but not unexpected when I look back at those days that went by. I've met and known some people. Made new friends not just through socializing but also those that came out from my friends' wombs :-p Yep, some of my married female friends recently gave birth to healthy little babies. Even went to visit one of them at a confinement home to catch a glimpse of her newborn child. It's nice to see her happy with her son, but at the same time it makes you feel older, and I mean REALLY older.

As usual, she asked me some of those familiar questions that have been aimed at me, from old friends to my nosy aunts. "When are you really gonna get a gf", "what are your high requirements that are keeping you from picking one", "why are you so choosy", "how long do you still wanna play" and the list goes on. What they don't understand or pretend not to understand is that I'm just not someone who goes out and get something just for the sake of getting it. As far as I'm concerned, it's not just about looking and picking out a pretty face to be with. I know there are a lot of good looking ones out there and I'm not blind. I guess it's not my time yet.

I've gotten myself a set of Chicago Bulls DVDs not long ago. Eight pieces of discs that include nail biting games, history of the club and of course the player that I idolise the most, Michael Jordan. I may be watching a lot of football and supporting Manchester United now but basketball remains close to my heart. It's the only sport I watched and actually got involved in. I can't find any word to describe how much I love the game of basketball. I think I'm still passionate about the sport but there's just no proper basketball court to display my "passion" (insert lame laughter here). It's a pity that basketball isn't in the primary category of sports in this country. Lack of playable courts is what makes me think twice before getting a new basketball that eventually requires me to get a new pair of basketball shoes. It's been a decade or so since I quite watching the NBA. New rules have been made to make things easier for the offensive players and harder for the defensive ones. And the offensive players can't even score as high as his "airness", M.J. in his prime. I guess he really set the bar a bit too high for the next generation of players. Well, the United Center of Chicago didn't create a statue for him for no reason.

As for the notorious husky living with me, he's getting bigger and stronger. Destroyed some plants in the garden, some slippers of ours and also killed a few birds. I don't know if he's really THAT fast or the birds are getting dumber. I ran over a pigeon before so I guess I can't be all too surprised. Somehow me and him are alike. Too bad I don't have blue eyes like him.

Just recently a friend of mine got infected by the H1N1 virus but luckily he's recovering. Even more lucky is the fact that I wasn't infected although I hang out a lot with him especially for lunch or dinner. I haven't even been to the clinic for 2 years or so. Is it so hard to get medical leave and stay away from work for a few days? Sheesh~ I need to give out some antibodies of mine to people. Any takers? It's immune to the influenza. *winks*

Some minor updates.

Yes I'm finally back here and actually putting in some effort to update this dying blog. Kinda dusty as well if my imagination were to turn into reality. It's been so long since I last posted something that I can't even think of a proper title this time. Pathetic~ It took me this long to actually be sitting here and posting this because of the chinese new year and most recently, reformatting and updating the old laptop.

Around October last year I went to the 2nd edition of the Mean Machine car exhibition at the same venue, the Auto City in Juru. Not much to see as far as the imported cars are concerned. The contestants for the pageant this time around are slightly better. Only this time the heavily modified motorcycles weren't on the agenda.

The weather that day was scorching hot and I do mean hot as hell~! Yet the ladies had to spend nearly an hour or so for the photograph session. There's probably no other way to thank them than to snap as many shots of them as you can.

Jay & me

I think many of my friends around still don't know that I have moved into a new house. I won't say that it comes with a new environment as well 'cause it's only like 20 seconds less than 4 minutes drive from the old house. Since the new house has a large space outside so I thought it would be OK to get a pet dog. Now I have no experience at all in owning a pet dog. I could have picked a 'milder' breed of dog to keep but as I've done time and time again, I chose to do something destructive to myself. I decided to get a Siberian Husky. Thought of getting a Golden Retriever at the first place but somehow I changed my mind.

meet the handsome rascal, Yoshi..

Ever since I've gotten this new pet, I became more aware of places for grooming, pet necessities and of course getting my patience tested from time to time. Almost everyday I guess. Sometimes his barkings in the morning wakes me up even before my clock does. That is when my patience is tested. There are already a few plants that got killed by him. Now THAT is when my parents' patience is tested. LoL~ Needless to say he already tasted a few times what it's like to be caned.

This furry devil has, in one way or another, been keeping me away from the pc longer than how it was back in the old house. At least now I have this new buddy here to play with when I'm not online. I'm still considering whether to get a trainer or not. His notorious behaviour needs to be controlled soon or else I'll see more things run down by him.

So I guess that's all for now. I hope I won't be lazy for long before I post something else some day. Alrighty, gonna be catching up with Heroes season 3 :-)

Taiwan, the land with insane number of good looking people.
Saturday, September 27, 2008

Just got back from a long trip to Taiwan and still feeling a bit lazy to work. Not only have I gained some insights about Taiwan but I've also gained some weight. The food there wasn't entirely special or dirt cheap. It was actually due to the beer and whisky I had, thanks to some uncles who were on the same tour with me. Nothing unique about the food because it's basically chinese food, like most of the type of food I've had. But when it comes to desserts, they are indeed top notch.

I left my 2 brothers at home.. heh..

This place serves mainly bean curd and another which resembles our local "ais kacang", only with much finer and tastier shaved ice.

getting ready to eat~

The shaved ice wasn't just from plain water. It tasted like sweet milk and it hardly melts. How they shaved it so fine made me curious. And the bean curd was nice too. They seem to be good at making edible things FINE, as in delicate or whatever you can describe it.

Eating this is like eating frozen cotton wool with milk flavour.. thumbs up~!

other stuff for you to dump into your bean curd or that snowy dessert..

The first three days of the trip was kinda boring. Going to the tourist spots which featured mostly scenery viewing and getting closer to nature. I'm not a nature loving person at all so I got really bored while walking through the gardens.

in fact, I got so bored that I fell asleep taking this photo without realising.. LoL

a giant beetle..

preserved remains of some trees..

more wood carvings..

i'm still not getting excited..

This guard over here stands under the sun or rain whole day unless given orders to move..
