Spent the Saturday night the usual way. Hang out with friends, always looking for places to have dinner and then had a drink at one of those cafes along the sidewalk of GP (gurney plaza). After we were done with dinner, we quickly moved on to the car displays nearby.
There were several new models of Mitsubishi, Volks Wagon and sound system on display. Talking about the sound blast system, it was only that time when I saw the trophies displayed alongside the cars that were modified that there IS a competition for your car's sound blaster. Apparently they (the sound system company) were promoting its products with the awards they won to lure customers. Might want to go check out that kind of competition someday, if there is one in Penang :)

Can you believe it? The latest model of our national car maker even had to resort to such events to promote itself. I guess this proves that perodua Myvi is doing much better than the midget model of proton's. Maybe that's the fate of a car model if it doesn't look appealing. Worse still if it's U.G.L.Y. If I were Dr.M I would have advised the car maker to dispose the latest model and get a REAL professional automobile designer. There is a saying that goes "beauty is only skin deep". Honestly, the Savvy model doesn't even come close to that proverb at all. In other words, if it's not appealing enough, people won't even bother knowing what it's like inside. Savvy = thumbs down!
Didn't know what to do in this hot afternoon so I'll just surf the web as usual. Only this time, I spent most of the afternoon going thru hundreds of PC desktop themes. Didn't really bother about changing the themes untill I saw some interesting ones. Screenshots of two of several that I downloaded were snapped.
This is one of the 3 themes that I downloaded with sound features in it. Click on its minimize, maximize, exit and an additional button to roll up the page and you can hear a sound. Each button produces individual sound.
As for this theme, obviously you can see the spider web and should be able to guess what theme this is. Nope, this theme has got no sounds when clicking on any buttons whatsoever but it looks cool to me ^^ This is the only theme I can find which is complete with its full set (cursor, wallpaper, icons) I don't know why the damn cursor just won't show up when I took screenshots of the themes!!
This is also another desktop theme which features its own sound when you click on the exit, restore/maximize and page-hiding button. What makes this better than the other themes with sound is that it features a female voice e.g when you click on the minimize button, it will say "window hidden". Click restore/maximize, it will say "dimensions expanded/restored". Click on the exit button, it will say "window exited". If you click on the tiny arrow at the bottom right corner, it will hide the folder/webpage and send it to the taskbar tray at the bottom right corner of your screen. It will also say "docking complete". Nice~ ^_^
Went out to buy dinner for my bros today as usual. Kinda hot today during the afternoon. Must be the damn heavy rain the past few days. Sweatin' like hell when I was washing the car. Yea, normally I wash it on my own. Not by goin thru the auto car wash like some lazy ass people (no offence yea? LoL)
So there I was standing at the front of the stall after ordering the food. Couldn't stand the heat near the cooking stove, so I strolled to the nearest grocery store to get a nice cold drink. Got into the store, looked around and I saw a new can drink on display. New flavour from Sprite O_o So I just grabbed it without hesitation since I was damn thirsty. Then I just walked back to the stall while enjoyin this new Sprite (maybe not new to some of you). From the first taste, kinda nice laa~ It's like the Spritzer Pop or the Esprit drinks you can get anywhere else. As I was walking up to that stall again, I saw a lady waiting for her ordered food as well. Didn't get a good look at her face since I was standing behind in line. She has got nice figures :-P In a sleeveless t-shirt, short pants, not too short and not too tall. Seems like she just went for a jog. Then as the food seller handed over her food (I dunno what she ordered laa~) I took a quick glance as she was turning around. Haiya~! WTF... auntie face lai~
But then again, I think most of the people out there have been thru similar situations like the one I mentioned. Body shapes can be damn deceiving. KNN~
Hah... talk about cybercafes, I've been to many different ones in Penang. Some full of smokers, some have damn small capacity and some really in need of vast improvement (damn
chan ar!) So after years of frequenting various
CC's (cybercafes), I can say that they have improved in terms of the environment and PC systems (obviously la~).
Shot taken today at the entrance. Currently the usual CC I prefer to go to is Netcity, located in Sg. Dua :-) What I like about that place? No smokin' allowed inside, capacity of 100 PCs, a clean toilet, sells can drinks (cool storage), place is clean and tidy and it is just 1 storey above a
nasi kandar stall. Parking is never a problem since there's also a basement carpark for the public.

Even though the place is big enough for 100 customers, you still have to wait to be seated sometimes due to excessive lazy ass people (just kidding ^_^) Haaih.. can't blame them, it's only RM 1.50 per hour. I'd play as long as I can when there's an empty seat.

Rare giant plastic card It's been years since I last took out my stack of DBZ comics from the drawer. Surprisingly not dusty at all ^_^ This shows that my room's clean although (very) messy. Didn't really intend to read all those episodes since i still remember how the story goes. Heck, I even play its game on PlayStation 2 >.<
If my memory serves me correctly, each episode of the comics cost you RM 3.50. Don't really know the current price of it. I remember that this comic can be seen often during my high school time since there were a lot of readers then :) Sometimes we would read it while holding the comic beneath the desk, when the lesson is still on! Yep, there were times when we got caught and got our comics confisicated (not mine laa~) *sigh* Those are the good old days, man. There were times when my buddies and myself would go around exchanging comics to read...in class~! You can tell by hearing this how boring class can be sometimes ;-)

Too bad the malay version of the comic didn't extend to the GT series. It can only be found in mandarin languages :-( Wish I knew how to read those mandarin words. Thankfully there's Kazaa and other P2P softwares for me to use and download the series and watch em :)

Glory Glory Manchester United! Hmm.. It's been 2 dull years since my favourite football club last tasted glory :-( Of course, i've always been lookin' forward to the new season since the moment i knew they blew their chances of reaching the top spot. Pessimistic? No, just being realistic here.
With players in and out more often than the last decade, any United fans would doubt if they can witness the return of the championship to Old Trafford soon. One problem that sticks out like sore thumb is the goalkeeping "extravaganza". I've even listed some of the erratic 'goalies' who i personally think were just a waste of time at M.U.F.C.
Ah.. The bald one. Who can forget his antics between the posts? I don't know if it's just me, but i always seem to notice that he doesn't like to be near the goal mouth. Probably getting all too excited watching his team mates running around and wanted to join in. Too bad he keeps forgetting that he's the GOALIE! Impressive in his first season, but a disgrace in the following seasons. Sustainability, not impression, is what is missing here.
Next in line in MY 'shit list' of M.U's past goalies is Massimo Taibi. And yea, he's the one who let the ball slipped through his grasp and feet and into his own net in a match i really didn't bother to recall. Shipped out of the club before you can even say "FUCK".
Lastly, Raimond Van der Gouw. Didn't really make an impact on the squad. Wasn't impressed at all by him. Just a waste of time and also a failed experiment of finding the right one to fill Peter Schemeichel's big boots.
*sigh* Those were the good old days. When M.U were labeled the 'comeback kings'. Personally, Peter Schemeichel was the best 'keeper ever to have graced the Old Trafford. Sorely missed indeed, he set a standard so high that i even doubt the future goalkeepers could even achieve half of what he had given to Man Utd. Till now, he remains one of only a handful of ex-red devils who deserved to be called.... a legend.
