My sideburn...What about it?
Tuesday, August 15, 2006

I got through another interview today. Damn, it feels like doing a routine now that I have interviews almost every week since the end of July. Anyway, ever since my hair got longer people keep looking and pointing at that certain part of my face. No it's not my nose hair or my moustache (like I have one, duh~) It's that spot right beside my ears. Yeah, that's what you people call sideburn, no?

Seriously, before I even entered the puberty stage I had never EVER planned to keep sideburns when I go to the hair salon. I usually tell the hairstylist to cut it, shave it with a blade or electronic shaver and maybe even WAX it (kidding la!) Of course after many times doing it at countless different hair salons, I realised that it grows back sooner than I can pluck them out of my (smooth) skin. LoL~ The point is, it was never my choice to have it grow wildly at the side of my face. Lately when getting a haircut I no longer ask the hairstylists to get rid of my sideburns. Instead, I just tell them to keep it neat and tidy. Of course I would prefer to have it disappear from my face but it really grows back quickly and inevitably, THICKER!

A fellow trainee few months ago even asked me if I have a hairy chest! Just by looking at my sideburn. I know that my legs are hairy but that should NOT be an indication that my chest is ape-like. Other people even give comments and suggestion about what am I going to do with the sideburn when it grows longer. Some to the extent of asking me to keep a thin moustache like Craig David. You guys know him right? The one who sang the popular song "7 days" a while back. Good, save my effort for uploading his photo here. Hahaha~

I think I'm gonna have a haircut soon, yet to decide which hair salon to go to since I hop around to try out different ones to see which hairstylist is worth going back to after the first time. This time I might consult them to do something about the sideburn. Not to get rid of them, but probably to make it to at least grow neatly and maybe develop a pattern. Afterall it is already very obvious around the side of my cheeks, might as well get a shape out of it. *wink*

Myvi Plagiarised?
Wednesday, August 09, 2006

I used to think that Perodua, the second national car maker of this country has been doing very well compared to Proton. Not going into detail about it since it's not something I'm proud of anyway. Not surprisingly that Myvi is doing far better than the lack-of-space Savvy in terms of sales. I even thought that Perodua was quite decent in their design of Myvi's outlook, until I stumbled upon a couple of pictures in some forum a while back.

Take a look.... (click to enlarge as usual)

See the spot that I circled in red? Just to alert you guys that we're not looking at a Myvi in Japan. LoL~ Notice the shape of the side, from the door handle to the shape of the side windows.

Circled in red is the name "Passo"

From the way I look at it, the design of the Toyota Passo has been "ripped" like what.... 95%?? The only differences between this one and Myvi are the rear signal lights, shape of the front lights and the position of the number plate at the back of it. And of course, the brand name ;-) When it comes to creativity in designing the outlook of our national cars, it is either lame (with a big L!) or it's simply f-a-k-e. *sigh* Alright, am not going to taint its image with sarcastic remarks since it isn't bad looking after all. Just left feeling "sad" for the national car makers' lack of creativity. Otherwise I wouldn't be lamenting about it here, would I?

1 year old
Friday, August 04, 2006

Looks like it's been already been a year since I first started this blog. Didn't realise it before I went through my archives of old posts. Time really went by so fast, quite a lot have happened in this period of a year. Some ups and downs that I faced here and there. Nevertheless I also learnt quite a bit about tweaking and playing with html codes, thanks to this blog.

"What made me started this blog at the first place?" was the question going through my mind while thinking back about the past. Well, back then it was that loneliness and some "sour" episodes in my life that got me into this. Realising that it would only "devour" me slowly from within if I keep everything inside me, I decided to let it all out here. Everything from the mood of joy to the feeling of sorrow, is being dumped here. I've never really taken much pleasure from blogging, to be honest. After all, this blog was merely used as a place I only come to when I'm down back then. Was never taking it seriously, until I thought about my friends.

Slowly I keep arranging some outings with them and of course with a digicam (a lousy one) to take pictures with them, I began to come here more often just to upload those random pictures and occasionally described what we've been doing, what I've seen and where we have been all this while. Though I may not be writing much here compared to certain people who blogs as well, but in this duration of 1 year has been quite eventful for me. Not wanting to be a geek myself, I don't really take the cam wherever I go to. Hence there could have been more snap shots of funny and ironic events around this small island I live in. I know that the friends around me are getting more and more busy by the day. So it was only appropriate that I grab as many opportunities as I could to take some photos, group pics before we grow old and become more camera shy ^_^.

So just to remind myself the reasons and purposes of this personal journal of mine, I would like to present this new layout that will be used for a long and unforseeable period of time. Don't be surprised if some rabbits morphed from the circles at the top of this blog. It's the best part of this template ;-)
