I know that the knockout stages are fast approaching in the world cup. Therefore I've come up with probably the best solution ever known to men, especially football lovers. Behold~! An official FOOTBALL MC! *LoL*
It always feels great whenever the weekend is approaching. Really funny though, the people around me at the workplace are usually in a cheerful mood usually on Fridays. I think that's how the acronym T.G.I.F came about. For those who don't know, it stands for Thank God It's Friday.
So after enjoying the weekend having our own outings and respective family days (self declared), we would usually start work on Mondays looking like
shit we have just awaken from a century's slumber. Then come Tuesdays, we start getting into the groove, we regain that positive thinking attitude, we also joke a lot during work when the boss is not around. Work productivity is also picking up its pace and increasing.
Wednesday arrives. Now this is usually the day of the week whereby work productivity reaches its peak. This is also the day when some people start looking forward to the weekends (where to go, which movie to catch, who to invite for an outing, who to ignore. ^_^) However, this "symptom" varies, depending on each individual's social lifestyle.
On Thursdays, the mood to hang out during the weekends spreads drastically. I can hear people giving opinions on movies, eating spots, shopping, football (yes, the World Cup) and arranging outings among colleagues. Work productivity starts to go downhill and delays in finishing a task seem never ending.
TGI Friday~ Yes people, this is the day when jobs are being done in a speed of a snail. Most of the people's mood is abnormally jovial, cheerful and can be talkative as well. It is like as if they're going to receive their annual bonus or some sort. But seriously, the main factor behind this weekly routine behaviour is just the weekends. But for this year, there is an exception. And yes again, it is the World Cup. Biggest sporting event of the year, with one of the smallest trophies in sports.
So no matter what, I have always put in 100% effort during work during the weekdays. That's something I have adopted since I started working 2 months ago. Therefore it can only be summed up this way:
LoL~!
This year's world cup finals are held in Europe, Germany to be exact. The live broadcast of this year's biggest event will most probably be around midnight or about 2 a.m or so I heard. It's gonna be hard for me since I have to wake up at 6 a.m or so because of work. You can't deny that wherever you go the talks about football are just about everywhere.
However, this is one type of football I don't mind staying up late to watch. Forget Ronaldo, Owen and Henry. Women's football is the way to go~! *LoL*
