Just a piece of my mind about l.o.v.e
Sunday, April 22, 2007

Maybe it's just me, or maybe it is the common principle that people have imbued in themselves that could be contradicting to my thoughts. I think the philosophies about love being passionate and intense constantly should be thrown away, right out of the window.

It is my opinion that love shouldn't be taken as an entertainer. It is not going to create excitement and passion persistently. Even in quiet times, as you do your routine household tasks, it will always be there. If it is for real, it will always be there. All it takes to find out about it is honesty to yourself. Just don't lie to yourself.

I really find it hard to believe that you can fall out of love with someone regardless of the length of time spent together. If it really happens, then you never actually loved that person. You could've been obsessed, infatuated but probably wasn't in love. To me, a relationship that went through years and ends doesn't mean you truly, sincerely loved that person. Perhaps you did love them in a certain way but you never really had true love.

It's a real pity that only a few believes in true love. Most of us find the ordinary everyday love that simply can't stand the test of time. I believe that true love lasts and although this is a cliché, I think you ought to understand what I meant by 'true love'. By this I mean that if one always believed that it must ALWAYS make you happy then perhaps you'll never have a true kind of love. To me, it is an understanding of what it means to be in love. To be frank, there is really no such thing as "the right one". Come on, let's be realistic here. There are millions of people around you so how could you actually think you would discover a "soul mate" some day?
I believe only when you understand and are able to define true love can you be with someone and be genuinely in love.

This may be a contradiction to many out there but it is what I stand for. This is not an advice from me to you. It's not wrong to have your own principle, however different it may seem when it comes to a topic such as this.

This is my belief. This is what I use to keep reminding myself not to give up easily. From this belief, I've always found something that could either make or break someone. It is something I call...

...hope.
