I've just seen the movie late last night and my personal opinion of it.... EXCELLENT~! I highly (make it double) recommend this blockbuster to anyone who likes robots and especially those who are or used to be a Transformers fan. I used to watch its cartoon back in the days when I was a kid. Was hoping that someone would make a movie out of it some day and when it finally happened, I would say that it was very nicely done. Although the characters are rendered in 3D, their movements blended very well with the actual settings. The best part of the movie to be enjoyed is of course where they transform from the vehicles form into their true form (duh~) and when they do battle in the city.
The two leaders going against each other are of course none other than Optimus Prime vs Megatron.

Going back to when I was a kid, watching weekly cartoons of these robots would never be complete without those 2 battling out each other. In this movie the duel between the two is even more intensified with the 3D graphics and special effects. Not only it is by far the best cartoon adaptation I have ever seen, it has also a considerable amount of humor along the way. Quite a pleasant touch to a movie mainly consist of robotic battles. I applaud this movie for it not only met the expectations but also exceeded them. Honestly, the two and half hours never seemed so SHORT in my entire life.
I walked out of the cinema with a big smile on my face, knowing that the kid within me woke up that night. Those who don't know anything about Transformers would probably give negative feedbacks. As for the fans of this old time cartoon heroes, I'd say drop your expectations, enjoy the film and rejoice!

Yet another movie based on popular cartoon getting good ratings from me. Adding this one to the Superman post I did few months ago :-) Gonna put up a soundtrack from the movie on this blog for a while, titled "Before It's Too Late" by Goo Goo Dolls.
As the popular line goes...
"Transformers, more than meets the eye"
So much more indeed....
