Went to this event as stated in the banner here. It was kinda below my expectations when I was looking around there at the auto city. It's not because of the hot looking girls that I was hoping for, though some of them indeed were a big letdown. LoL~
I was hoping for lots and lots of imported cars to be displayed there. The girls were only secondary. Therefore if the ladies get more attention than the cars from the audience, I think you can consider yourself a failure as an organizer of car exhibitions. Neh, kidding.
But there was only a handful of expensive imported cars that I've seen. The rest of them were heavily modified cars, from the audio systems to the eye catching spray painted body of the cars. There were plenty of scooters that participated among themselves to see which was the best decorated ones. But no pictures of them 'cos I just wasn't interested in them.
Pics galore ahead...
(by styler69) I was looking at this piece of picture for a long while before I got back to whatever I was doing. It kinda reflects the life of most of us, doesn't it? No matter where we go and what we do, there's always something missing. Everything around you is fine and well, nothing is wrong but you still wonder.
Even if you put all the pieces together, it still forms an empty scene. Still no vision of what it's like for us in the future. Keeps us guessing as we walk through this long journey in life. Whatever it is that's in store for us, perhaps there's no better picture than this when we begin to ponder and wonder past the boundaries of the unknown.
And so I ponder....
..dedicated to those who want/are trying to quit smoking.. Been quite busy for the last couple of weeks due to work. Only since the last few days I managed to find some time to actually laze around a bit, thanks to the raya season which will be this weekend. Most people have already started to be in the holiday mood, so it's been less meeting with clients and very little travelling for me.
Last month till now, I still have this disturbing scene in my mind. I was having lunch with my family one weekend afternoon. While waiting for our meals, I noticed a family at a table opposite of ours chatting away loudly. Everything looks normal then. But not long after, this man started to light up a cigarette and puffed away after they were done with their lunch. And by the way, it's an air-conditioned restaurant where we had our lunch. Typical Malaysian attitude huh? After 50 years of independence and we still have this sort of nonsense. Fifty years! Lima puluh tahun! Goh chap nie!!
Okay, nothing we could do about it but just look in dismay. Then he did something that I just couldn't get my eyes off that table during that noon. A little kid whom I assume was either his kid or nephew went to him just to play around or somethin. He took the cigarette from his mouth and put it in the kid's mouth. I thought he was only joking with the kid but he held it there long enough, as if to encourage the little boy to smoke. I swear man, that kid was not older than 6 years of age. And the aunties and uncles around that table laughed as though it's a cheerful sight. Wow... that totally made me lose my respect to those adults, even if there was a tiny bit left.
First they disregard the restaurant's plea not to smoke and then they disregard the health of their own child. Pathetic. I only watched them a while longer in disgrace before the food finally came. When they left, not only did they leave behind the smell of the cigarette but they also left behind a bad impression. An ugly one that is. I was asking myself, "what kind of sick parents were those?" I would feel very uneasy if my loved ones were to smoke in front of me (you know who you are). There's always a proper time and place for that.
If you wanna teach your kid to puff mini clouds, at least do it when he's/she's old enough to think for themselves. And also do it somewhere people can't see it so strangers like me could still have a little bit of respect left for you.
I know it's rather late to be putting up a piece of article about the horoscope of the pig as the year of the boar 2007 is going to end in about 2 more months. Heck, maybe this post doesn't really need to be here. However, to further analyse myself further and to better understand my personality I've proceeded to do it anyway.
The Sign of the Pig ....
"Its better to give than to receive" would probably be the Pig’s motto. Pigs are more comfortable giving of their own time or attention than they are to ask others for it. They do not find asking for help an easy task and would rather carry the burden themselves. Pigs will do anything they can to maintain a sense of peace amongst family or friends. This can lead to a tendency to be taken advantage of, but Pigs basically forgive and forget everything. They are compassionate souls who simply want to keep the peace.(Carrying the burden part is quite true but forgive & forget? I don't think so.)
Here are some piggy facts...
Characteristics.Hardworking (Indeed)
Giving (Yes)
Willing (Really)
Helpful (Not really)
Materialistic (Quite true)
Gullible (Sometimes I am)
Oblivious (LoL! Exactly me)
Obstinate (Stubborn, which again nailed me right on the spot)
The water pig (1923 & 1983)Water Pigs go with the flow and usually trust people before they truly know them. This, of course, can get them into trouble because they are often too trusting for their own good. Water Pigs are quite easily influenced; yet, can be very persuasive when it comes to getting what they want. These people love parties and social situations and enjoy giving of themselves to help others.(Too trusting for their own good... I'm gonna have to be careful with this one :-p ).
Health...Pigs enjoy being around other people and so being alone for long periods of time can cause illness in a Pig. They also like to party and have a tendency to over do it at times. Because they do not get much exercise they also have a tendency to gain weight. A Pig’s stomach and intestines are prime spots for sickness because he tends to overindulge with food, alcohol or nicotine.
(Can't deny that I often overindulge with food. After all, I live to eat ;-) However, I DO exercise, which is why I managed to stay in shape after all these years of gluttony).
At home with the Pig...Pigs have comfortable, friendly homes that just invite you in. As much as they love company you can believe their homes are going to reflect materialistic gains. Pigs like to show off assets and pay close attention to their decorations in their homes. They can certainly make something out of nothing; however, they don’t make cleaning or chores a top priority.(The part about not doing the chores & cleaning is so fuckin' true. Same goes for the decorations).
Money & the Pig...Pigs love to spend money. They have an eye for name brands rather than generics so they generally spend a lot of it. Pigs have a knack for being able to find a diamond in the rough. Although they can sometimes be thrifty with money, most of the time it is the reverse. Pigs should be careful; a rainy day may sneak up on them.
(I put my hands up *feeling guilty*)
The Pig on vacation..As much as Pigs love food they would truly enjoy a culinary experience on vacation. When traveling they tend to dine at the finest restaurants, eat the richest chocolate and drink the most expensive champagne. In addition, their natures to be relaxed and laid back would lead them to an easygoing vacation somewhere on an island or in a resort where they can hang out and be completely taken care of.
(I couldn't agree more with this one.)
The Pig lover...
Pigs are great partners to have because they are so supportive and giving of themselves. They are happiest at home, so arguments about late nights out with friends are few and far between for the Pig and his mate. Pigs are sexual creatures that love to be affectionate.
(I know I can be naughty at times ;-) well, most of the time.)
There's more where they came from, but kinda irrelevant to me tho. Alrighty, time to sleep away the night. Oinks~
